World War II veteran, Russell McLogan, will speak upon his first autobiography "Boy Soldier: Coming of Age During World War II", a captivating story about an 18-year-old rifleman and the bitter fighting of the Philippine campaign. This book includes history of the Army's replacement training system, the Liberation of the Philippines, the dropping of the atomic bombs, the American-Russian occupation of Korea, and the Army's post-war demobilization--the people, places, and events that shaped a young life. McLogan takes a journalistic approach to his life changing experience overseas while expressing the hardest years of his youthful life.
