Through December 11th, 2010 - 6th ANNUAL NORTHVILLE HOLIDAY ART MARKET @ THE NORTHVILLE ART HOUSE : Buy Michigan; buy local; and buy art! If you are looking for something unique for your gift giving (and receiving!) this holiday season, stop by the Art House in beautiful downtown Northville at 215 W. Cady Street. Hand-crafted work in pottery, fiber, jewelry and painting will be for sale by well-known local artists!



DECEMBER 10-12, 2010 TINSEL & TREASURES – HANDCRAFTERS SHOW NORTHVILLE COMMUNITY SENIOR CENTER: Come and indulge yourself in the unique shopping experience offered by the Handcrafters Shows. Better described as an artisan market, Handcrafters offers an environment filled with 75 artists and craftspeople from around the country.



DECEMBER 11-12, 2010 SANTA AT MAYBURY FARM (Northville) from 12:00PM-4:00PM: Santa Claus plans on stopping by Maybury Farm on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday December 12, from Noon - 4:00pm to visit with all of the children. Admission is FREE and we invite the kids to bring a homemade ornament to help decorate the Maybury Farm tree! Kids bring your list and let Santa know what you are hoping to receive this Christmas.



DECEMBER 12, 2010 CHRISTMAS IN THE VILLAGE MILL RACE VILLAGE 1:00PM-4:00PM (Northville): Mill Race Village is alive with the sound of music! Our Lady of Victory Bell Choir will perform in the Old School Church. Get in the Christmas spirit during a sing-a-long of your favorite carols. Father Christmas will make an appearance. Relax in the cozy Cady Inn. Enjoy a hot beverage and cookies while listening to Charlene Berry play the hammered dulcimer. Hear carolers strolling the Village, and music emanating from the various buildings with Al Smitley playing Civil War era Christmas carols on his banjo. Buildings will be open with Docents on hand to share the building’s history. Watch the blacksmith, weavers, and rug hookers demonstrate their craft, and pick up a gift at the new General Store.



DECEMBER 13, 2010 CLASSIC HOLIDAY MOVIE MONDAYS – IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Northville COMMUNITY SENIOR CENTER 1:00PM – FEE $1.00: It's a wonderful film. Frank Capra's inverted take on A Christmas Carol stars Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey, agood man who's spent a lifetime giving up on his dreams in order to keep life in his small town humming.

Christmas trees decorated by local families, service clubs, groups, & businesses.

Gingerbread Houses on Display-2010 Now throught December 23rd: Visit the shops and restaurants in downtown Plymouth to see their gingerbread houses that will be on display. Vote for your favorite house and be entered into a drawing to win gift certificates, Penn Theatre tickets or the gingerbread house of your choice. Forms to vote can be picked up at participating locations, in display boxes at Kellogg Park, in front of the Chamber of Commerce at 850 W. Ann Arbor Tr.

"Santa Magic," the new special exhibit at the Plymouth Historical Museum: The exhibit features Santas from the collection of Dr. Weldon Petz, including a number of Duncan Royale Santas that tell the story of St. Nicholas through the years. The Museum's Main Street is magically decorated, including the Museum Store, which will celebrate its grand re-opening on Saturday. The store has just finished being completely renovated and now carries more products unique to Plymouth and Plymouth's history, including items from local artisans. "Santa Magic" will be open November 6 to January 5, 2011.

Santa Claus will be at the Museum every Saturday until Christmas, and will be at the Museum 9-5 p.m. The Plymouth Historical Museum is located at 155 S. Main Street, just north of downtown Plymouth. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
